Is The Lightsaber The Ultimate Movie Weapon?

Star Wars’s film franchise was revolutionary. This is something that we are all aware of. It was a breakthrough film for its time and, even more important, because it established the highest standards to which subsequent films have been judged or to be compared. The science fiction films of the past typically ended up being B grade films with low-quality special effects used instead of believable ones.

When you think of blockbuster films there’s one which stands out among the rest. That movie was a nuclear apocalypse called Damnation Alley which inspired many people and businesses by its effects, even decades after release but when comparing the film’s release date with Star Wars you can see the reason why they invested less money on production value just because 20th Century Fox came up short, with a cost of $17 million, whereas LucasFilm’s current estimates put their cost at around 170M dollars or less. Damnation Alley wasn’t without difficulties. The most significant issue was that post-production adjustments caused massive damage that was difficult to undo in the time prior to the invention of videotapes.

This one is a strong illustration of the power at work. This should be a professional output voice, but I’m going slightly off topic due to the fact that Star Wars had an impact on the cinematography industry and profit like no other film. The films promoted merchandising like none before them (even though they added lightsabers) These devices became so loved by fans that employee ownership increased dramatically.

The lightsaber phenomenon that spread across the nation like wildfire not only generated major sales spikes and a booming market, but also a completely new market. The toys were so well-loved that demand outweighed supply quickly. Retail prices also continued to rise due to the popularity of this. Master Replica’s FX Force Lightsabers that were created to be perfect copies of what the customers wanted, came out soon after hitting stores all over America. The cheaper knockoffs sold out quickly.

Why is the lightsaber so beloved? There were so many Star Wars toys. They were distinctive due to the fact that they brought back childhood memories. Knights would ride on horses and swing their swords Excalibur-like. Lucas used this to create Jedi Order of Knighthoods, an organization committed to fighting evil with lightsabers. Tradition is better and there’s no doubt about that.

The coolness of the lightsaber, and what made it stand out among sci-fi weapons, was its ability to use Force to turn your lightsaber into an extension of you. You become one with the deadly blade, that is influenced by myths of Samurai warriors that were compelled to have skilled hands (and feet). To use them effectively, you need to have some level of knowledge.
